My Story

I grew up in Jamestown, NY, in the Chautauqua Lake region—an area that offered endless opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. From an early age, my parents encouraged my brother and I to embrace nature and stay active, whether we were skiing at local resorts or spending time on the lake. I became a high-impact athlete through soccer and freestyle skiing, which naturally came with its fair share of injuries: chronic shoulder instability, multiple concussions, broken bones, sprains, and strains. It’s hard to keep track! But each injury sparked a comeback, and to this day, I continue to enjoy the sports I grew up with.

I began my education at Jamestown Community College, where I received two years of free tuition and played as a starting defender for the men’s soccer team. I later transferred to the University at Buffalo to complete my degree in Exercise Science in 2013. There, I earned an internship with Dr. John Leddy, a world leader in sports concussion management, which helped solidify my passion for rehab and fitness. During this time, I also worked as a physical therapy aide in a local hospital over two summers, confirming my decision to pursue a career in physical therapy. I went on to earn my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Cleveland State University in 2019.

After graduation, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and I found myself working across a wide variety of physical therapy settings—acute care, inpatient rehab, orthopedics, aquatics, neuro, and more. This experience gave me a deep understanding of care throughout the lifespan. Eventually, working in private practice showed me what was possible—and in 2023, I founded Pin-Point Physical Therapy.

My mission with Pin-Point is to break the mold of traditional healthcare. Physical therapists hold doctorate-level degrees, yet the current system often reduces us to rushed providers working under outdated rules and jam-packed schedules. At Pin-Point, I’m free to provide personalized, one-on-one care without the limitations of insurance or high patient volume. Would you rather see a PT who gives you their full attention or one who’s burnt out from seeing 20 patients a day? I’m here to offer the former.

These days, you’ll find me skiing, distance running, lifting, kayaking, and playing soccer around Cleveland. My personal motto is: if a patient comes to me with an injury in a specific sport, I should not only understand the biomechanics—but ideally, have experienced it myself. That mindset has pushed me to try new things and connect more deeply with the athletes and active individuals I serve.

My goal is to grow Pin-Point Physical Therapy into a brand that my patients, friends, and family can be proud of—a space that supports healthy, active lifestyles. I see myself as a coach, not a mechanic. My job is to teach you how to heal, mond perform better—nve, aot just to “fix” you. Whether you want to golf with less pain, paddle with stronger shoulders, or train for your first half-marathon, I’m here to help you get there.

Best,

Dr. Nick PT, DPT
